Here's another of my MPC/floor box designs. This one is refined a bit, and holds a single module.

EDIT: now posted on ebay--

EDIT: EDIT: reposted on ebay, eventually sold.

- "true bypass" switching
- LED indicator
- battery or external power

And a new feature that allows the use of a foot operated continuous controller.

That's a modified Cry Baby wah pedal enclosure that can operate the MPC module parameter by foot. The box works with or without the foot controller. Without the foot controller, the knob on top works as expected. The knob is disabled when the foot controller is plugged in.

I had previously tried to put a module directly into a wah pedal housing, but there wasn't a convenient way to implement a bypass switch. The standard "toe down" switch for a wah pedal would not be ideal for all MPC modules. This is an easier and more flexible configuration overall.

I'll post a video demo soon.

My first attempt at MPC in wah pedal housing is referenced in this thread:

Another MPC in floor box project is documented here:

Comments, questions, and suggestions are welcome...

Since this is a pretty developed and complete item, I've decided to make it available to anyone who may be interested. In the interest of attaining the widest possible audience, I've listed it on (ugh) ebay. There is a pretty stout Buy-It-Now, but I will be considering offers.

Since there is just nothing else like this in the market I want to get a feel for how this kit will be valued.

Thanks for all the positive comments on this project and all my other wacky ideas.

 Congrats on the sale and this one was a nice one. I liked it but have to many pans in the fire now. Great job and a quality box.

Ok, here's my current thought.

I've crunched the numbers and it appears that my time is the most expensive component of these devices. So.... how to make this accessible to more people?

I could put together a kit consisting of all the required components for the adapter box, with assembly diagrams and instructions. And an optional conversion kit for the expression pedal (supply your own standard Cry Baby enclosure). For those who are not comfortable or willing to put it together, I would have a flat assembly charge for anyone that would want me to actually build it for them.

With an estimated target price of, say, $75 for the basic kit, and $25 for the expression pedal kit, how many people around here would be interested in such a kit?

Well I think that would get a few moving but I feel that your time spent in construction and development is worth something also. I would have gotten the other one but got to many irons in the fire right now.
