I came across my second Electra today.
I am trying to find the model and approx
date of manufacture.

That is a 2271 Long Necker bass. They were introduced in 1972 and were made up til about 1980. Yours has the early script logo which is like the ones in the 1972 catalog. By the 1977 catalog the Long Neckers had the peace sign logo.

detailed info. That is very helpful.

I bought my first Electra in 1984. It was $420
new. The model is X640N and has 18 volt pre
amp. It sounded better than any Fenders or other
basses I tried. I still got it and won't part with it,
