Hi guys,anybody know who made the 70's Suntech strat.Bolt on neck with bras nutt and bridge.Later or higher end models have setneck with a different headstock(genesis guitar player used one in early 80's).

Nobody? I read somewhere a chain of music stores in Kansas sold them J S accoustics I think.

Blue Book of Guitars says this:"Instruments previously produced in Japan circa late 1970s to early 1980s.
The only Suntech trademark instruments encountered so far have been bolt-on neck Fender-style Strat copies. These instruments are very nice reproductions of the Strat model. Research continues on the Suntech trademark (source: Roland Lozier, Lozier Piano & Music)." I suspect you are correct that these were produced for a small music store chain, but their source may never be known !! Have you checked the underside of the pickups? I have identified sources a couple of times by finding markings there.....

Thanks Dr,I know the neckthrough models are dimarzio pu.I seen mine but don't remember any markings.I might look again,maybe look into the neck pocket.If you google suntech strat.Mine comes up if you hit images near the top only one with white pickguard.
