Hello, I'm a newbie on this site, my question is I just purchased a awesome Out Law Bass x 620 mpc. On back of headstock was chrome tape with x620 hand written, is there anyway to know what year bass was actually made, or is it just safe to say a ball park figure 1977 - 82. I checked the rivercity site and didn't see anything to help me find numbers. Thanks for any help.

The serial number on the foil tag with the handwritten model numbers unfortunately do not help date the guitars/basses of that era. Since yours is an MPC you might try the info from this link. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7552&hilit=Date+MPC+connectors

This has seemed to be close to production date within a year or so.
