I went and bought that red Electra Dynasty at the pawn shop (pics to come). The bridge pup seems to be under powered. It lacks output. When I tap the pups with a screwdriver the other 2 pups are very loud. The bridge tho......... :(

Opened up the control cavity and all seems ok except that the bridge pup has it's red wire soldered to a longer piece of gray wire and it's going to the rear pp pot.

Is that where it should go?

thanks, bob

Feels funny replying to my own post  Bit I figured out that the bridge HB was shot. I don't have a clue why it sorta functioned in the guitar. Cos when I used the multi tester it showed completely dead- both coils :-?

I even dismanteled it to see if I could resolder the leads to it. No dice. Both coils were DOA :(

That's too bad. Those are some rockin pickups

So I removed the 3 wire cable from the bad pickup and put it on the 2 wire MMK45 I had in my F1000. I never did pickup surgery before. But it was pretty straightforward. It turned out fine.

Now it screams like it was meant to do. :) (I just need to find a pickup for my F1000 :D )

I still need a MMK45 for my Phoenix tho. Paul, I'll get with you soon
