Yikes! YOu guys are such a great group super-ego. Look at you all there, dressed up like jiminy cricket, about to do a gene kelly routine to gently tap on my conscience...

OK. I know where it is. It's true, I got distracted, partly by life itself and also the HR, and did I tell you about the white Greco Vee I picked up with the neck crack, now glued? Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

You want pictures? I'll give ya pictures :) I'll start with the pile of cases I need to move to get to it... bot do I need to clean out my studio. Nothing's been sane in there since we started remodeling, and how many years ago was that? Sheesh.

OK, and this also brings up another issue which I haven't breathed about up till now. It's getting near that time when I need to make some decisions about the guitars I keep. There are a handful which are special favorites, especially ones I play a lot (many of these aren't Electra). And then there are ones that I'm especially interested in as a collector- the Soviet guitars, for instance, I love regardless of how well or poorly they play. And then there are projects- basket cases are so interesting to put back together.

But... once they're together, is it a guitar you want to keep? I'm not always sure. So... I need to get a good look at the collection and see what is going to stay for the long term or not. There are a few I'm finding new homes for, and have already talked with people they're going to. As more come up I'll let you know.

(Is that a roundabout way of saying I think the Outlaw is fantastically weird, and so far I haven't learned to love it yet- but I need to play it first.)

Ok, back to making holiday cards so I can get them done and on to other projects!

oh yeah, if I hadn't said so or others - that guitar had Grover keys in it stock. They are just like the rotomatics but had a little fancier base to them (same size though). So grover rotomatics will work or a good copy (I put Wilkinson copies of grovers on one of mine with excellent results).
