Youtube is a great place, or buy the book by Dan Erlewine on guitar repair.

And not to sound like a school teacher, but please use punctuation on our forums! Makes it hard to read without punctuation.

Think VERY CAREFULLY before you start stripping off paint.

If the finish is original, even if it's not in very good condition, it's usually worth more than a refinished guitar.

Very general info would be that you loosen the truss rod if the neck has excessive back bow and tighten if there is excessive 'relief' (bows towards the fretboard). Basically, you don't want the neck to be dead flat, you would want a bit of relief. Less is more when it comes to adjusting them, typically done in small increments, like a quarter of a turn. Use the correct tool (to save the adjustment nut) and never over tighten.
