Just won this auction which I assume is a 2227 due to the finish. It does have a sticker inside which will hopefully confirm.

Congrats. The 222 series were true hollowbodies (floating bridge and all), and one of the issues we see is that the neck pocket will warp, making the action basically unplayable. Sorry if this is a rude awakening, just the messenger here. When it comes in, inspect the top for any warping or signs of stress before you shell out even more money for the neck and other parts.

I recently bought a 'Norma' guitar that I've been seeing examples of for years, when it showed up the neck was bowed, and there isn't any truss rod adjustment, so basically I got a $70 piece of wall art! Ah well, live and learn I guess. Good luck, Mike.
