thanks. if you see the bridge pup pic up above had some electrical tape around a splice. the splice was soldered fine, so I just removed and put some heat shrink tubing around it to clean it up a bit...

now I'm onto finishing the holed Corsair, and get the Mandolin back together and hope it's playable...
