thanks. I made a template out of a file folder material and then traced it onto the aluminum treadplate, along one of the edges, then used a dremel cut-off wheel to cut the remainder of the shape off. the bend along the edge to match the body isn't perfect, but then again, nothing on this rig was supposed to be :)

When some one asks me whats wrong around the shop I look at them and say" I've cut it 3 times and it's still to short!". Most times you get a laugh and sometimes you get this look.... :-? .... Have fun with it. Like the project by the way. Looks good.
