Are there any schematics for the mpc modules? I'm willing to build because i cannot find modules anywhere. It may be blasphemous, but I'm desperate. Any help? Thanks.

If you're willing to build from scratch, don't limit yourself to the stock MPC circuits. You'll have to come up with a circuit board to fit the edge connectors, and deal with the limited control (single pot on front of guitar).

I have adapted a Fuzz Face circuit on an MPC board, and it sounds great. I've also installed a Guitar Fetish MOD-Board delay onto an MPC board, with somewhat limited success.

It would be a simple task to do any of the MOD boards as an MPC module.

If you're not sure how to do these things, where to start, or what materials to use, building from scratch may not be for you.

I have etched pcb before, and have a mokup of the Small Stone with edge connectors wired in. I actually like the sound of the stock phaser, but am looking into how to make the color switch more accessible (maybe even remote actuated). I still need a box, however, dead or alive, to mount it in.

The MPC phaser circuit is very similar to the Small Stone circuit.

There are a couple unused terminals on the MPC edge connector. If you are willing to modify both a module and a slot, you could either add an additional external pot or an external switch. But doing this begins to dilute the modular nature of the whole system. If you want to head down this road, you might as well simply build one or two specific effects into a guitar. In which case, why not open the door to using any effect circuit, instead of just the MPC modules? Then add as many pots and switches as you might want. That's an entirely different beast from an MPC guitar.

I'd argue to leave the system as it is. Appreciate it for it's quirky short comings, instead of trying to make it into something it isn't. YMMV.
