I've read the great info and pics on Electraman's site about Super Magnaflux pickups:

My question is: do all Electras have these? They're mentioned in the Westone catalogs and it makes it sound like this is what is on just about everything (ok, i know a few didn't have them, like the rail pickups on the Monark). How can you tell the difference between these and any other kind of pickups on Electra guitars?

reason I ask is I'll probably be replacing missing pickups on my Electra projects with pickups from other Electra guitars, but want to make sure I'm not replacing a Super magnaflux with something else less good.

the super magnaflux was the top of the line pup and seems to be only on MPCs (outlaw, x300s, leslie west, ultima, and x800s.) i don't know of any non-MPCs with super magnafluxes. i believe they're usually zebra style but not always.
the pups in my phoenix x-150 definitely aren't super magnas. they measure around 7-8k ohms and aren't nearly as hot as super magnas.
super magnafluxes are nice pups. i had em in my outlaw and they had so much rich tone and sustain (thanks also in part of 95 lbs of mahogany). really hot but obviously NOT in a metal sort of way. hot w/out suffering in tone. luverly.
