just went to a pawn shop and got an sg style electr bass. i need open style headstock tuner and 3 way rotary selector switch. the back pickup works fine. front don't. i need a schematic from somewhere. oh did i mention i only paid 35dollars for this gem? :D

check the pickup carefully- a lot of times it's the selector switch that's bad, not the pickup.

nice grab. if you disassemble, and the pup really is bad (no reading), it may just be the connector wire has come looses from the windings. a lot of times, from age, the tape that was used to secure everything gets a bit loose. I've repaired 2 of them because of this so far.

hey thanks for the info. the pu had ohms resistance but a wire was loose on the rotary switch. we tried moving it around to different points but couldn't get anything out of it. and the rear pu no matter where the switch is selected is always on. Is there anywhere to get real nos parts or is it a crapshoot? i think the rotary switch is a 3 way but all i see now are 5 way. will it work ok?
i'm missing a tuning peg, truss cover, bad switch and bridge cover. Any where to get parts for this gem?
