I was cleaning out my grandfather's attic, and I found a beautiful guitar. I have been playing guitars for years, and I had no knowledge of these guitars. It is a very beautiful guitar in surprisingly good condition. The action on the strings is as if it was still brand new. What amazed me the most is the mpc's. I had to plug it in & try it out. The guitar still works, but it will definately need to be re-wired. I can tell that this guitar will sound magnificent once it is rewired, so I would also like to restore the rest of it too & keep it to pass on to my children one day.

Here is a little information I collected from the sticker on the back of the bellhouse: Serial # 12753

First, I would like to know a little bit about this guitar. If anyone knows what year this guitar is by the serial, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, what would this guitar be worth as is, and then after restoration.

Second, I tried to look for replacement parts. There really isn't too much I could find on these guitars except for their history. I will include pictures, so you can see what I am talking about. One of the machineheads were obviously replaced, and I would like to purchase an original one. The pickguard is also missing, and I would like to find an original one. The last thing that I can tell is missing is the cover for the MPC compartment. If anybody could help me out locating these parts, I would appreciate it. The only real blemish I can find on the body is a crack by the output housing. You can see that in the picture too. Hopefully, I can find someone who can fix this properly. I love the paint job on this guitar. It is a shame that the crack is there.. I am not too interested in buying more MPC's. It has the original two that came with it stock (power overdrive & phase shifter). If anybody has any of these replacement parts that they would like to sell for a reasonable price, please let me know. I will play the guitar as is, but would like to return it back to it's original state for historical purposes. Also, if the price is right, I may even sell it after it is restored. I have two other antique guitars - 1972 Gibson flying V & 1982 BC Rich Warlock <-My baby :) Neither seems as rare as this beauty I got now though. Lemme know what you think of the pictures, and also lemme know if you have any parts available that I am looking for. I would love to hear your feedback. Thank you

Yeah, I've become obsessed with getting this fully restored. I found a luthier who does some amazing work who can fix the crack. Between that & rewiring will be my first steps. When I get the time to make repairs, I will post pics on here. I have played many awesome guitars in the past, but I am getting the gut feeling this guitar is gonna be pretty badass. Maybe a new favorite.

Nice looking guitar and I bet it will be badass too. As for parts - all 3 of your wish list are pretty tough. A standard lp pickguard will work with a little modification by the bridge pickup. I've made control cavity and MPC cavity covers out of clear plexiglass before - it also comes in black but I sort of liked the see through. A single treble side chrome tuner may be tough but every once in a while you'll see one surface on ebay. Good luck!
