I have just picked up a white 165. 2 humbucker 4 knobs. bridge pickup didn't work so I am diagnosing and find that once i pulled out and direct wired the pickups they both work. neck has red - white - and shield. Bridge has red - white - green - shield. bridge seems weak to almost single coilish. neck is strong. Does the red white together and shield with green together make it humbucker? I just need an overall diagram and give it a shot with corrected wiring. please help if you can. :bawl:

is your 4 knob setup the original setup with 2 push pulls? (coil tap both pups, phase reverse)

do you have a meter to check the pickup wires?
you will need to identify the wires on each pickup, and then you can use this diagram to make it go....

http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/WD2HH3T22_03/Guitar-Wiring-Diagram-2-Humbuckers3-Way-Toggle-Switch2-Volumes2-TonesCoil-Tap-Reverse-Phase.html

the drawing shows the push/pulls on the volume pots.
my Electra Futura is wired similarly, but the push pulls are on the tone pots. also different, the coil split is on the neck tone pot, the phase reverse is on the bridge tone pot.
ultimately, the wiring is the same, the switches are just in different locations.
