Thoughts?

 or

I didn't do it yet, just a photo manipulation but I'm really thinking about it. I love how it looks.

I see the pickups and I see crown inlays on the x350.

You know, there used to be someone making decals/covers for pickup coils that were thin that would allow you to change coil colors. Cool if you decided all the sudden you needed lime green then the next day came to your senses. That would actually be cool to try. If you replace them keep the originals or you will regret it, but you know that. What are you thinking of going with? There are so many good pickups and makers out there now, hard to say what anyone would choose.

WCR makes pricey pickups but I've had a Godwood and it was killer. There is a new "vintage" duncan JB anniversary edition that sounds interesting (supposedly special bobbins, sand cast Alnico V, wood spacer, and other material differences. Old JBs are supposed to be really sweet (new ones aren't bad). I would not mind trying an anniversary model. I had a set of Tim White "timbuckers" and a pair of Sheptones, and they both were fantastic. I have a harmonic designs in the bridge of my X330 (old one, uncovered, and unpotted - KILLER). My Les Paul has a SD aniquity in it and a Seth Lover - sounds GREAT. I have various other duncans and dimarzios - lots of good sounds out there.

The only change is the pickups, the crown inlays are stock.

I love the sound of the pickups clean, very sweet and wonderful. I play in two bands, mostly rock and hard rock, so I need prefer something hotter. I'm scouring Ebay for good deals on zebra pups, not too concerned about brand but would like to find a good deal on Gibson 500t/496r, Duncan or Dimarzio Distortion, or ideally Suhr SSH+.

I looked at it and thought X350, wasn't thinking of an Omega (non-MPC) so I need to look a little closer - that explains the crown inlays and not the blocks. BTW - your cat looks just like one one mine.
