I was spraying the 5 way, toggles and pots on X310 with contact cleaner last night to clean up some static when I noticed something I had never picked up on. The strap buttons did not have felts. I had some new ones (black) left over from the X175 project so I put them on. I checked my 2255 and it didn't have them either, but the 82' and up X175s did. Any one ever notice this?

I think with a poly finish its not an issue

I bought a bunch just for that kind of eventuality. I can't say I've noticed which Electra's have and don't have them - but sooner or later all mine get them.
