I have a 350 that I would like to split the coils on. It seemingly has 3 wires, one of them being a ground along with a red and white. In theory these stock pickups should have splitting capabilities. Has anyone successfully split them, if so please share your diagram or a pic. I am considering changing the volume pot to a pus/pull for this purpose. Thanks

get a DMM (digital multi meter) set you OHMs (looks like Omega sign) and measure between each color and the ground. One wire will be the full humbucking and it will measure about twice as high and the other. Then you can follow just about any pickup wiring chart and wire you a switch or a push pull. Sorry, I am not at home to measure mine but if you search for pickups on the sight I bet we have a link with that somewhere.

if the wires measure open between either wire and the ground, then it is just a separated out ground so can flip the phase of the pickup. If that is the case then you'd get the full value of the pickup in oms measuring from one wire to the other color, but the ground will be separated out. I am away from home now, and typing during lunch so I can't check for you.

I'll bet the white is full noise and the red is half the value!! :D
