Sure looks like one. Replacing two ferrules and a tuner doesn't sound too bad, but making that headstock look good again where the name is rubbed out could be challenging.

Or else Cort. Seems we've had similar questions with neck-through laminates, and I seem to recall that three large strips meant Cort, but I could be wrong...

I first thought Cort or JCPenney (Skylark?). I'd take a stab at the $100 mark, not much more than that.

Funny, it looks a LOT like that headstock is an imitation of an AP or Vantage...

No listing for "Royce" in the Bacon book, and I didn't find it on Harmony-Central either.

jbyear1, do you have any info on this guitar to go along with the photos you found?

I guess somebody was embarrassed of the Royce label.
Little did they realize how special it really is.

I was also thinking Vantage because the head shape at the top
looks like the Performer Series for example.

Except the Vantages come to a sharper point in the middle.

Then there is that bridge on the Royce that brings the Ray
bridge to mind like the one used on the CS series.
Except the Rays had screws closer to the edge
