Well I'll be durned... Honestly, it fooled me for a brief moment. I thought the guy had messed up his listings and I had to do a double take.

Yeah, it would be nice to have seen the original logo. White letters on black? That sounds like a PCM Electra, but it's hard to be sure, it could be an Avenger, too.

Well, I found that guitar interesting. If you look at my prior post on my supposed-Electra Strat -

the one you found makes me feel a little better. The neck on "yours" looks a lot like mine, as do the tuners (which I felt were NOT vintage).

Look at the pics of my guitar and you can see that "white letters on black" thing that the seller was referring to. Now I'm going to have to email him and get further info from him (as to how he knows about that since his guitar was changed before he got it).

So now I feel like maybe my guitar has at least an original Electra neck. I'm still not feeling that good about the body or electrics but I frankly haven't touched the thing since I got it. Interestingly, the auction pic of the headstock kinda convinced me to bid because it looked like the neck was pretty nice -- and vintage. As did the headstock. Who knows -- maybe it's real. I only paid $200 and got a really nice flight case with it, so I didn't get ripped off too badly if it's fake.

Now, the REAL reason I came on to post today is to report on a couple of other things -- one very much related; namely, ANOTHER Electra Strat -

This one looks a lot more like the real thing to me. Nice guitar (and much more pricey). The one you found ended up going for $175, which is a pretty good deal for the buyer (I think).

The other one I saw was another (rare?) PCM guitar -

Looks like a pretty nice item but I don't think I'd be interested at that kind of price.
