$229 B.I.N. Has a big gash on the front (looks like someone glued something on there..?) also a pretty nasty crack at the nut (seller says has been repaired), some liberal chipping around the back, and no mention of a case. That being said, the days of the $200 Endorsers are going fast. If you've been thinking about getting one, pick this one up for a song, if you don't like it, you can always donate it to ElectraFest 2010 (wink wink).

March 1983 build date.

one of the knobs has the electra phoenix sticker on it. does that mean it has one of those "hop up" kits?

Those SuperChargers add at least 50 Horse Power to your guitar...

There's a bunch of sticky residue on the tone pot of my Leslie West, and inside the control cavity there are a couple of resistors that I don't recognize. I thought that the 'supercharger' may be some kind of treble bleed circuit (so you don't lose brightness when you turn down the volume, which is a nice feature), but that guitar gets woofy when I turn the volume down (like most guitars). I'd love to hear Tom's take on the supercharger circuit, because I have yet to learn what the heck it does!

Congrats man, I hope it's not too beat up for you. Could be a good gigging candidate, you know, a guitar you're not affraid to get banged up when playing out. All of the Endorsers have small comfortable necks, scooped out heals, push pulls for the coilcut/phase and this being a later version has the belly cut. The single coil switch alone makes it more versatile than a Paul, tell us how it feels when you get it in your hands finally, Mike.

I installed the Supercharger kit on my X340 in the late 70's;

As I recollect it had new volume and tone pots and some kind of resistors / capacitors / diodes?

I have no electrician experience; I remember that I made sure that I closely followed the installation instructions; when finished a test revelaed that the volume was off at "10" and at full volume on "0", so I reversed 2 of the wires and then it worked fine;

My X330 does not have the SC kit and does not have that extra punch that the X340 does;

I believe it was different value pots and caps. I may have some info somewhere, I'll look around...

Nice score on a low budget X935.
