You've got quite the yard sale going there Joe, do you have your eyes on something for the holidays? How big is the neck on that Hondo II, and how heavy is it? How does that HighFlyer play, and are the pickups good for high volume stuff? Thanks for any info man, Mike.

I gotta do somethin' man-upwards of 30 guitars,8 amps, dozens of pickups, necks, projects, etc., wifes threatened to apply for the next episode of "Hoarders" :D
Need to concentrate more on playing than gear, gotta be worse than crack :toopid:
The Hondo(setneck)ain't bad for what it is,dig those Dimarzio's-fairly small neck,on the heavy side-didn't think it would get this high, honestly.
The Hi Flyer is a hoot-plays decent, don't think it has ever been setup,P90s sound great, but I think stage levels are out of the question.
Always lookin' for goodies though-walked into my local music store for shipping boxes, left with a '67 Ampeg ReverboJet "Golden Glo" ......so much for thinning the herd
Joe

No - And my bad too - I have no sense of time passing unless I wear my watch.

So, the guitar magically showed up a day early today (what alternate universe is this where the USPS is early?!). I am unbelievably stoked and excited to be playing this guitar. I don't own very many guitars (four, including my acoustic). This guitar went straight to the top of the heap as my main stage axe!

It plays like a dream and I can honestly say that I have never played a guitar that I have liked more.... Fender, Gibson, whatever......

5th Electra....still own 3. :)

Now see these two telle style electras would have been right up my ally :)
They looked awesome. Would love to know how they play. I can't get away
from my tele. And it's so heavy since it has and older style b-bender in it.
Imagine wearing that for 5 sets a weekend...ugh....lol

They play nice, although the original electronics are a bit primitive... here's the earliest one I've ever seen, s/n 0049:

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5896

The butcher-block body is heavier than a real Fender, and the scale is 24.5", which I really like, but some people wouldn't. I have two Electra 'RocknSoul's, they're pretty cool, Mike.

Thank you so much! Hopefully we'll be getting the whole 10-track album out here in the next few months!

Also, although the bridge cover looks absolutely gorgeous........ I can't palm mute with it on and it breaks my heart. :(
