Too bad, Ed. Might I respectfully suggest a change in your diet then?

That model Westone (xa1330) is an absolute hellion-on-wheels as a player. Here is an archive link on it, look to the lower entry on the page.

I would be severely tempted to BIN that axe if I didn't already have a pair of late 80's Westone shredders here already. (Loosely translated that means you would not be disappointed at that price.)

I'm sure it's a nice guitar just not my cup of tea.
Never been a fan of Strat style guitars (even Strats).

I've owned a bunch of Strats (love the sound, hate the way they play). Had an all original '64... people used to drool over it, I never understood why (it played like a sled). Wish I still had it though (I sold it back in the early 80's before the prices went through the roof).

Agree 100% that if you don't care for a certain style then what can you do? I personally have never gotten into the Strat either, but folks have either attempted to copy them exactly or improve on them since they first appeared it seems.

I have a mid 80's E-Series Squier and can share the good news that any Westone "SuperStrat" will play absolutely nothing like a Strat. The price of that guitar even with it's issues is more than fair and that is what I find appealing about it. How it will play and sound is not at issue for me.
