Electra Tape Echo, looks pretty cool, anyone ever see one? I never have...

Way too expensive I am sure, probably does not know if it even works. But I'd love to have one. I don't even know what kind of tape it took or cartridge.

Wow! yeah, a touch too expensive, especially these days with modern digital FX and so on!1

I had a Copicat an epoch or so ago and couldn't get shot of it fast enough when stompbox echos became readily available; my Boss DD3 is about 20 years old....

I had one for about a month, back in the '80's. I borrowed it from a friend. It was the first echo of any kind that I had opportunity to wrap my head around. Had a blast messing around with it, running both guitar and mic through it. Should be pretty good MIJ quality from the era.

Have not touched on in years, so I don't have any comparative experience now that I've used other tape echo units. I have since spent significant time with both tube and solid state Echoplex, various Roland units, Fulltone tape echo, and a few others as well. The Electra has the similar features and characteristics, but it may need maintenance at this point-- head demag, head and tape path cleaning, probably new tape, and probably filter cap replacement. Maybe even alignment.

Price looks high to me, but who knows.
