I seem to be seeing a pretty good selection of nice pieces for sale on ebay and some of them are not too badly priced. Now, don't get me wrong, there are always those yahoos that are asking ridiculous prices (several times what anything brings). But there are those right now that have buy-it-nows right at about the right price. Some have Best Offers options too, so if a little too high you can always offer a lower price. I hoped we might see some appreciation in the market but it does not seem so. Is anyone still buying? I've seen some mighty fine collections on sale here too (in the for sale section).

Now for a mini-rant

You still see those same ads for what seems like years on flea-bay asking $1K to $2K+ for some guitars. I don't know how they can afford to run the ads so long. They don't sell for that. They usually don't sell for half of what they are asking, so might as well as several times - it won't sell anyway.

No, mate - not buying at the moment. It would take something quite serious to prise my wallet open these days. I have about 27 guitars - I know, I know; not a huge collection by any means! - of which I have 4 out on stands ready to play, so unless a munted Matsumoku product comes across my bows locally, I am really not in tbe market, eh!

Mini rant read and agreed with: there are guitars I am watching down here that were bought on eBayAustralia for reasonable money and immediately re-listed at twice the price, one of which sold 3 months later - a Westone Monark - and the other withdrawn after about 7 months - Pantera X300PP. Currently a couple of Raiders that are overpriced and have been there awhile now... plenty of clowns out there looking for the golden ring, eh!!

Sadly, no Electras and shipping kills anything from the States these days....
