Everytime I see your moniker here I think of Lightnin Hopkins, Muddy Waters, and Royal Crown Soda.

Whoa!

I am humbled - about the Lightnin Hopkins, Muddy Waters part - but not so much about the Royal Crown Soda.

Guess I am aging myself by remembering all 3 though.

Got a reply from SLM....FAST, huh !

'bout what we figgered though.

Hi JD,
You have quite a collection. We have never seen anything exactly like
the guitar in question. One of our repairman actually was with the company
during those Electra years & he does not recall this one. It could have been
customized for an artist or for a dealer, but we simply have no records of
such a thing. Sorry we could not provide any info.

The ONLY guitarist listed in wikipedia (and its a huge list) with those initials is Steve Rothery, yeah I've never heard of him either... from the UK.

Steve Rothery = Marillion guitarist. {Prog Rock} Quite a good guitarist. Saw them play live at an in store appearance in the early 1990's.

You are an absolute fountain of information, YYZ!

Good to see you got something of a reply, JD.

I wonder who that repair guy is? Maybe someone Tom P. would know...
