I was looking at that one too out of curiosity.
The flames look sort of cool.

He says he works at Gibson Acoustics Montana division
where the "10 coats of nitro" may have been applied.

If I were going for it (not) I wouldn't pay more than $150
because the new pickup is unknown.

Looks to me like an 85-86 Westone Spectrum ST, or possibly an 84 X160 or such. The guitar itself, with non-original paint and pickup, is worth not this much, maybe half or 2/3 the BIN (depending on whether you think the flames are a plus or a minus). Customizing a guitar like this lowers rather than raises the price, but that might not be the point. Not that this guitar and custom work have anything to do with Tommy, but what the heck- I have no idea what Tommy Shaw's signature plus the album are worth, but I suppose to a fan this might be a good deal.

BTW, this guitar has been listed before, and didn't sell- i think the price has been lowered,
