I saw that!

It's actually an X185. X189's are the same but with a two-post bridge. I know, there's examples that contradict that, including ones i posted myself. but that's the straight stuff.

What a classic guitar. Fantastic pickups, maple body & neck, and truly great wiring- phase, coil tap and center on via pull-switch knobs.

Somebody keep an eye on it- these red X185's sometimes go for really low prices. I certainly don't need another one, but maybe somebode here does.

I stand Corrected My Eyes are getting bad I though for sure that I saw a two post trem. But when I relooked you are correct it is a 6 screw. I have a SS X185 red could be nice.... I even live close enough to do a local pickup......HMMMM>>>>MAYBE......Let me know if any of you intend to bid it is a nice copy and I could use the color in my collection but i do not want to bid against any one whos need is greater and as long as it goes to a good home it doesen't have to be mine

One great thing about having two guitars is the ability to leave one of them in open tuning. playing slide is fun but if you have to retune all the time ,many people end up not bothering.

go for it man, give it a good home! believe me, if someone else comes along and needs a fantastic players' guitar at a good price, another red X185 will definitely come along.

we had a recent conversation about which Electra guitar is rarest- it's definitely not this one! in fact, I'd go so far as to guess that for a single model and color, this one might be the least rare.
