One of the few PCM's I've seen come up on ebay -

I'm no expert, but I think this one is pretty cleary a PCM.

Yes, the X-headstock is a pretty definite sign, also the logo appearing on a white rectangle attached to the headstock.

I'm pretty convinced this would be made by Kasuga and sourced via Arai- the laminated neck and headstock shape are nearly identical to early Goya/Greco (not to be confused with Ibanez-like Greco, which was and is Fujigen via Hoshino).

These are the PCM Electras which cause people to say 'warning, low quality, stay away". I wouldn't assume that to be the case, but they seem very much like the pre-70's Goya/Grecos, Appolos, etc, which are more than a bit crude by modern standards.

Actually, this one looks like it's fairly well-made. Of course, it's not always easy to tell from the ebay pics, but the shot of the headstock is a nice closeup and the workmanship looks pretty decent.

I'd be curious to see it in person. I suspect it's a pretty nice guitar, tho' I'm sticking to the SLM's (and I've got too many already).
