There's a curious Westone on eBay currently:

Not much detail in the description, and the pictures are kinda small, but I've never seen one like it. Especially curious is the 'triple coil' looking bridge pickup. Anyone know anything about these beasts? Asking price is kinda high, but the run must have been pretty limited. Cheers, Mike.

Just noticed that the neck has 23 frets... hmm, not sure I've ever seen a 23 fret neck before...

The only 23 frets necks I was aware of came on the circa early 1980s Peavey Patriot guitars.. Killer little players, BTW....

Well here's another webpage that I found about the Dan Armstrong:

http://www.vintagesilvertones.com/forsa ... trong.html

It has an outline of the pickup switching, a brief description of the triple coil pickup. The one on eBay currently seems to be a DA I (although its listed as a DA III) and has the Floyd Rose with string locks, all the other pics I've been able to find are DA III with string-through hard tails. Seems like a pretty cool axe, could be collectable, two different headstocks, less than 100 estimated total production... hmm, it's grabbing my attention, although the price has got me on the fence.

This is 1991 catalog page blown up:

Anyone else think this guitar has potential to appreciate?
