This is what I've been seeing a lot of since I started paying attention to this brand, that many of these innovative guitars have been 'Molested' by people. It really makes it undesirable by any Electra collector, kinda like a Fender being refinished and only getting 50% as much as a beat up original. I particularly cringed that the Bridge pickup volume (arguably the most used knob) is the third in line... like anyone wants to fumble around looking for that. Again, I think a lot of uninformed owners figure that their Electra is just a cheapy import, and its no big thing to modify them... not the end of the world, but a loss just the same.

A terrible injustice indeed!

Hey, no one bought it! Perhaps the "Offers" he got gave this seller a reality check?

Was it relisted?

I thought that model just had a jacaranda top, not a solid body. If it were solid I don't think you could lift it.

Unfortunately the MPC's were considered gimmicks by many at the time of production and frequently were butchered. Also parts can be hard to find. This still does not explain the elimination of the 5 way switch which works without the MPC parts and gives all the options of an LP style switch plus more.

That said many guitarists are stupidly conservative and just wanted an LP copy.
