OK, not a Electra product, but these are great little volume controls for tube amps, I own three of them. Usually go for around $50, as opposed to the 200-300 you'll have to shell out for a THD or Marshall power soak.

They are crude, designed and produced in the 70's right here in Michigan. There is no safety or protection circuits like modern attenuators. We started calling them 'toasters' back in the day as they basically convert excess sound energy into heat, and you probably wouldn't want to use on anything over 50 watts (I've seen the coils glow before!).

I've never had a problem with a Fender or Mesa amp, which are both built pretty stoutly, but have heard of them frying Marshalls and Ampegs which are much pickier about impedance. I do end up going through tubes more often, but hey, can you put a pricetag on your tone being available at basically any Volume? Mike.
