 This is a nice model with the active EQ but in my opinion I would pass on this one as the headstock looks like it has been damaged from moisture or something. The tuners are pitted like moisture would do and the top of the wave is discolored. If you also note the truss rod cover is missing and the string alignment on the tuners seems as bit close(almost touching). Seems that maybe the truss rod cove was removed so it could be constantly adjusted maybe. With this being a set neck model that type repair is beyond my skills. This is only my OPINION and I could be wrong but I would avoid this one. These models do show up now and again and would be a good score when found. Hope this helps and hope others will take a look and give their opinions as well.

I too would pass at that price given the condition of the headstock.

Looks like it's been a victim of a fire,

or to agree with Proendorser - maybe too close to the fireplace or back yard bbq grill?

Heat from such a source would cause the head stock discoloration and also pitting of the tuners.

And maybe the truss rod cover warped and melted .......

RCSBlues :-?

Guitar is a model X270 in case anyone was guessing still. A lot like the X250, with one less knob (active master?). Not sure if the active is still working, from the description I guess it is. Looks like the neck pickup has been changed, the pole pieces are much shinier than the bridge pickup. Other than that it looks original, down to the big brass strap buttons.

Rare to see one that hasn't been modded. Headstock looks like it was left to close to the fireplace! Throw the seller a message if you think $299 is too much, never know what they might take if it goes without a bid.

Quality advice. I can't even count how many things I have won at a cheaper price due to second chance.

Someone took the plunge with this one. I think it's a pretty reasonable example. Anyone from here? Tell us how the active works if so! Mike.
