I didn't bid on it because I thought somebody else should get a chance on these natural Phoenixes :)

Yeah, those knobs are replacement.

The OEs tended to tarnish, I know that at least half of the brass knobs I have on my Phoenixes look shoddy.

But they do polish up easily by bead blasting, which is something I am loathe to do on the same style knobs on my Vantage VA900 because they were gold plated and over the years of violining away on the volume knob, the plating has been eaten away and worn off so that it looks really awful now whereas the tone and boost knobs are only a litt pitted!

Any idea about finding replacements?

or maybe

The knurled ones look very similar to my X185 knobs - but not quite like the X140. Any help appreciated. thanks

edit: I'm thinking these are much closer.

There was a bloke over at the Westone Forums who ran a batch of these brass knobs; maybe he has some left??

Thanks - I had a friend measure his X140 and bought the ebay ones (which will be close - Fits 1/4"" shaft pots. 7/8 in. outside diameter -but not perfect). For reference the measurements my friend took were:

O.D. - .895" or 22.55 mm,

Height - .555" or 14.06 mm,

Post Diameter - .0233: or 5.84 mm
