 :look:  8) Looks like a burgundy pro model but black. Has the inlay patterns but is black. Looks to nice to be a refinish so my guess is it must have been a special order or promo model in black. Looks sweet but BIN is tough. Maybe it will go cheaper if it lasts. I would need to call in all my santa IOU's to get that one. Hope someone here gets it. Good Luck

Beautiful. This is unrelated but I thought I'd share.......I recently bought another Japanese "off brand" guitar at what I thought was a "deal". I got it 2 days ago and it is a total dog. Win some, lose some with these guitars. Oh well, as long as I win on more than I lose...... :hyper:

I've only seen two 2266's (Burgundy Pro), one of which is this one twice now. Interesting in that as the name implies it should be Red. Please tell us if you think its been repainted once you see it up close. Since the X420's (Custom Pros) didn't get released until after the 2200 Semi's were out, it is conceivable that there were some factory painted like that, although the fogging on the headstock makes me suspicious of a refin. Still, all in all it looks pretty clean, and as has been said before, compared to a (new or vintage) gibby, its a steal! Here's to your growing Semi-Hollow collection!! Mike.

 Another nice score, congrats. Can't wait to see if it was a re-finish and the details. Bet she plays like a dream.

I think this is the same one that popped up on the bay last year, or the year before... the guy wanted a grand for it. it had been professionally refinished.....

I'll let you guys know either way. I doubt I'll send it back if it is a refinish and it's done very well. If it's not a refin....I'M KEEPIN IT FOR SURE. And don't forget...it could be a factory overshoot by special request. I'll be lookin for signs of aging that would be expected if that were the case.

I can't imagine where or how that green tint on the headstock face occurred....maybe that's just the camera used or available lighting. It seems transparent in that area because I can make out the three piece neck in that pic. S T R A N G E, that is.
