I've never seen a loose set neck auction before. It seems to be as described, a never used vine inlay Electra neck with Maple board. Probably made for a 2258 Super Magnum or 2247 Electric Oak. Nothing I'm interested in personally, but it surely is a curiosity! $300 starting bid.

He's probably hoping to find a buyer with a popped headstock looking a replacement. It's worth thinking about that price to someone who has a set neck version of the SM that's been damaged. As rare as these are, it's gonna be even harder to find one with a damaged neck needing this replacement part.

If it were down around a bill, I'd think on it just to hang on the wall. Hey...maybe he'd swap for my Black Eagle neck.
