Isn't this the one that had been on forever, for almost $1000 or something crazy? Well it's actually auctioning with a low start price, already several bids on it. :) Looks like the guy finally wants to sell it now.

Hop on it ya'll, it's "pristine" as the seller puts it! I just bought a Spectum FX or I would be bidding!

I hope for all of us Electra fans this is the start of a return to normal prices again and the end of the holiday madness we all saw in the prices of late. Hope this very nice one finds a good home after all.

I don't think that's gonna happen, Arthur. I think that Electras are finally gaining their well deserved place in vintage Japanese guitar collecting along with Ibanez. I think the day has finally come that folks other than us generally now better realize the absolute quality of these builds. They all are wonderful guitars and I'm glad to see this time arrive.

Heck....even Jack thinks they are worthy of a book effort, and so do I. By the way....HURRY UP JACK.

Well I can still hope for lower prices but I do agree and welcome the fact that they are getting the attention they deserved from the get go. They are great quality instruments and very well built and have stood the test of time. I welcome the day that they can be played by many without the so called stigma of being a sub par japanese knock off. I will leave the sub par knock off to our chinese builders. Every once in a blue moon the chinese may get a quality build out but more junk than anything I think. Have a great Electra day my friends.

My first photographer dropped out so I'm scrambling to find someone else or learn how to do it myself.

I'm still committed to the book and I'm hoping to have at least a preview available at EF 2011!

I know I'm new, but what's this talk about "the book"?

And watch out on this auction, this is a prime case where the seller may have a friend bump up bids to the price he wants. This happens on auctions that don't sell at a high price and then are dropped to a low start point. I'd seen it before. Place your max bids carefully boys!

:x :x Yes unfortunatly I to have seen the false bid boosts all to often on ebay of late. I always watch the bids close and sometimes they get stupid enough to do this with a new account with 0 feedback so sometimes you can spot them easily and sometimes not. It's just like the high fees now on the bay are being used to boost shipping costs so they can re-coop the fees. What ever happened to just a plain ole handshake and a payment. Guess those days are almost gone. Hope to see all at the Electrafest in July. More sneak peeks to come this week so keep an eye out. Have a great Electra Day. Arthur
