I've been looking for a Rose X185 for a bit (seller calls it Eggplant, hee hee). This one won't win any beauty contests, but the price is right. I'm going to make a run for it, but first, is anyone here gonna make me pay dearly for it?

Any other Phoenix's made with this color besides the X185? I would love to find a X189 or X199 in Rose.

AFAIK thay's the only model in Rose Metallic - I should have kept the one I had but I always felt a bit overwhelmed by all the pickup choices and really didn't give her a fair chance. I did manage to blow up my Traynor ygm3 with that guitar and my pseudo Led Zep attempts. :) I can laugh now.

I hope and think that the price should stay pretty low. I bet it will clean up to look way better than the pictures. The knobs and what looks like the original whammy bar are a big plus. Good luck!

I know Corsair thinks highly of the HSH setup. Good luck.

Well I saw that one also and agree that it should clean up nicely. I was watching it and considering a run for it but I just scored an anniversary red sparkle and my egas is rampant so I will encourage you to go for this one as this model and color are harder to find. If you decide not to go for it then just let me know and I will then pursue it. Good Luck it should make a great player.

Mike your eyes are going downhill. The auction clearly states it is eggplant in color...

I was going to take a stab at this as well but will defer to your seniority, and your much greater restoration skill set, of course.

Go get'um !!

Hey, are you calling me a Senior Citizen? Young Whippersnapper, why I oughta... All kidding aside, all's fair in eBay and War. If I can snag it for $135 shipped, I'll be happy. There I've tipped my hand. I'd prefer a cleaner example, but if the electronics are complete and working (as indicated in the text) we all know it can be setup to be a nice player.

Yeah, I noticed that too!! Let the games begin, Mike.

Nope... I was not the high bidder on this one nor the Burgundy Pro. I bid what I thought was a reasonable amount on this one, and what I could scrounge up for the Burgundy Pro and came up short on both accounts. Ah well, I'll have to make do with my current stable for now. I pulled the X810 Semi out the other day, and that is keeping me company nicely! Mike.

P.S. I played the FrankInvicta at another gig last weekend... man that thing just sings! It weighs like 6.5lbs, I can play it all night and almost can't feel it on my shoulder.
