I know that the Westone Pantera Pro model (x300) had a combo MMK45 in the bridge position but have never heard of this style of construction.

Anyone?

I like rails. I think they can produce a more balanced sound. I bet those are alnico 5 magnets in there too.

I posted a similar thread that Corsair responded to over at Westone, and he confirmed that they were stock on one if their metal-styled guits as well. Good to have another confirmation on the Aria parentage, thanks Joe!

I am going in on this one then. My fear was someone had switched out the backing plate as it appears the screw gluing has been tampered with on this one.

I gave a good deal of thought to bidding on this as well. In the end it really belongs with the Westone crowd so... Good Luck Ice.

FWIW - It looks like the real thing to me. I doubt anyone would go to the trouble to put a 45 backer on a set of rails.
