This guy calls it an x180 but the pick-up config is wrong. I am thinking that it is an x160BR. Is there any visual clues to point out the active electronics on an x160?

GOOD EYE! I just got off the phone with the guy and he's going to take the control cover off tonight when he gets home to verify if its got the printed circuit board in there. I've made him a ridiculous cash offer if he'll ship and he'll be chewing on that. This is the only Active Electra I don't already own, so if I can seal the deal it will complete a very rare set of guitars with intact Active Electronics. Thanks for the heads-up, and wish me luck, Mike.

P.S. there are no outer visual queues between this and a X165 except for the finish color, the real clue was that he mentions it has THREE push/pulls, which I'm betting the farm this is a X160.

There are plenty of Electra's I don't own... but once I acquired three of the five active eq models, well I had to try to get all of them. I have bagged the X150, X250, X270 and X640 Bass, the only one left is this X160 Phoenix, of which I've only seen one other in the three years I've been paying attention.

It's not a done deal. The seller (original purchaser) really wants to trade for a LP, which I can't help him out with. I've offered him what may be a record figure for a Phoenix model, and he still doesn't seem terribly impressed. I told him that he should look at completed auctions on eBay if he'd like to see what the going rates are for Phoenix's, and that I think its a generous offer. Still haven't heard back from him if he took the control cover off, but I'd bet my paycheck it's a X160. Crossing my fingers here, Cheers, Mike.

Well it seems this was an X160, but seller doesn't want to ship, as much as I tried to sway him. If anyone local to him can make it happen, I'll make it worth your while. There will be others, right? (only the 2nd one I've seen in three years!) thanks, Mike.
