I'm working it.

I spoke with him this morning. X120 is fairly beat up. MPC wiring does not work but it might still be there. Neck joint is repaired (by a luthier) for about 7 years. I think these things bring the price back down to where it is now. Includes a case (not original) and a module. I am still mulling over this one but would step aside for someone else to pick up.

Other Electra is an x330 MPC with 2 modules. He is asking $695.00 for that one.

I closed the deal on this X-120.

There's a pretty ugly crack in the upper bass bout extending into the cutaway. It does not appear to transect the neck joint. Several other battle scars and wear are evident. Guitar appears to be stable and playable as-is. Seller reports having played many gigs with it in it's current condition.

MPC wiring is assumed to be non-functional, and at least part of it is missing. But I've got parts and bench skills to remedy that with a little sweat equity. Functional status of the included Power Overdrive module is unknown.

It's a project, if not an outright rescue. But-- I don't care much about the way it looks. If it plays well and is stable enough, I can make it work. I'll consult with my local luthiers about the crack.

Expect a more detailed report once I have it in hand.

Congrats Steve, I know you've been looking for one for awhile. Were you able to talk him down in lieu of the aforementioned damage? Looking forward to seeing a photo essay! Cheers, Mike.

Thanks Mike. Yes, X120 has been at or near the top of my list for a while.

Price was slightly negotiated, but not much. This whole deal is a bit of a gamble, really. Might turn out to suck.

Seller mentioned how much he liked the chunky neck on this guitar. Says he had a guitar custom made and used the X-120 neck as template.

Good luck with the new axe! You saved me a 4 hour drive to go see if I wanted it .

Nice score! These are really pretty unique - even for Electra. Hope he's in decent shape.
