He sold me just the guitar. The guitar is in pretty good condition. It needs a new nut, it looks like an old replacement. And the electronics need to be tighten up a bit. The ground on the tone pot has come free and it needs a new battery connector. Since the battery is messed up I havent been able to play the MPC modules, but I am hopeful they will work. The guitar plays like a dream, the neck is amazing. The bridge pick up is a Shadow, which I assume is an aftermarket change. Sounds pretty good, but I am curious about the original bridge pickups and may try to find one and try that out.

Welcome Cavedog. Nice catch. Yes the shadow is a replacement. Not a bad one though. Others can tell you what the original was.

My X330 - which I refer to as "beloved" - is quite possibly my most favoritest guitar. Every time I contemplate selling it, all I have to do is play it for about a minute and the sales urge goes away. I actually despise the 5 way switches, but I tolerate it because the guitar just sounds and plays great. So congrats!!

I would certainly look into finding a correct bridge pup - and this one may just be it - looks like it anyway.

The battery issue and electronic stuff are easy fixes.

Going on 2 weeks of being an Electra owner and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this guitar. I mean what a fantastic instrument. I put a new battery connector in and the overdrive module works and is like everyone says. Its cool, but nothing drastically different. The phaser module doesnt work. I popped open the case and it is almost completely in cased in wax, so I think it must be the color switch that has gone kaput. I am not all that bummed because I dont use alot of effects. I am thinking I will replaced the shadow pickup with a dimazio super distortion from that time frame that I have kicking around. That will make it scream!
