Ebay has an invicta x260 for $450. Is that way too high? Or are the days of scores long past? Getting a little sick of everyone throwing around the term "lawsuit" willy nilly too. That's my rant. Thank you

This is one of the later examples, you can see the six separate 'planks' of Ash and Maple making up the body from the photo of the rear. Someone changed out the knobs, it has it's share of dings and gashes, and that case is next to worthless. Built in January of 1981 according to the serial number (despite the original owner saying he bought it in 1980), I'd say he is being more than a little bit optimistic on price. You should be able to snag one in better shape for less, your patience will be rewarded! Also notice the headstock logo is basically a thick painted stencil, if you can find the early Mahogany version, it will be in pearl, which is cool. My X250 has the same construction and I do love it, but I'm really smitten with the Mahogany versions currently. Except for the knobs, it does look to be all original, and if it is the first owner, he probably did take good care of it. Personally I think it should be more like $325 shipped tops, but I've been wrong before about what things sell for.

I bid on (and missed) a Mahogany Invicta about six weeks ago, I think it ended up going for just over $200. I already have one, so I didn't really bid to win, maybe I should have? Ah, you can play that second guessing yourself game all day long, and never win, but they are out there, not super rare... you just have to wait for someone to part with theirs!
