Listing says 'all original' but the pickguard should be white, with the position numbers etched into it. Correct 'no screw' tuners. Big difference in the neck/body colors, which makes me wonder if it has been refinished. The case is different from the one I had. Seller is asking a premium, odds are he won't get a bid, but who knows?

I've have always wanted an X910 - but I believe my significant other would have something to say about another guitar in the music room -

Hope it's worth it and that someone gets it -

Wow!

You are a 100% right sir, I noticed the black pickguard without the numbers on it and immediately thought the same thing. Makes me wonder if anything else has changed. But they are super rare. I have not seen any in a long time except for yours. I've never owned one (an X910). I always wanted an explorer until I got a real Gibson one. I could not get used to the feel of it and promptly sold it. So I won't be buying, especially at that price and with the wrong pickguard. Yes, I'd love to have it as a collector, but after a certain point I have to say no. Now if it were $600 it'd be gone, but chances are one of you would have gotten it before me. I think with the questions you have brought up, I would not pay $1400. One sold on reverb that was pretty nice and it went for $999 or less (and had the right pickguard). I missed that one, but we need to start looking there too.
