I've just been talking with a developer friend of mine, and I mentioned casually that I'd someday like to have a registry database for the Electra site, where people could anonymously enter their model and serial number, and then we could view the results- my thinking is this will help us begin to figure out how many were made.

So he surprised me today by telling me that he went ahead and built the database and input tools just as practice, basically. (I gave him an X165 years ago that he really likes, so he has some interest)

So watch this space. My hope is in the coming few weeks I'll have a beta version live and we can try it out. That wasn't the feature I was expecting to work on next (catalogs and collections once all the models are done) but it's really good news!
