Hello, I am new to the boards and need a little help. I recently bought a Electra MPC x930 Vulcan. Unfortunately, it has been extensively modified. I have been able to get the 2 modules as well as wiring diagrams but I am missing the module receptacles that the modules plug into. I have tried eBay worldwide, no luck. Does anyone know where I can find these parts. I also need the 5way switch. Thanks for your help!

Welcome! This is the first place to start.

You do occasionally see MPC wiring harnesses on ebay, though why anyone would part out an MPC is beyond me. It's possible someone will come up with one.

Here's another place to look- because I can't believe that isn't an available part somewhere. Mouser is one of the world's largest suppliers of electronic components:

http://www.mouser.com/index.cfm?handler=home

It's one of those industrial deals- I think there are people who actually order parts wholesale from Mouser (like sprague caps, things like that) and then sell them off at a huge markup on ebay. But then, you may have to deal with large minimum orders, etc.

Let alone the challenge of finding what you want:

http://www.mouser.com/search/Refine.asp ... ype=Header

Why, under rectangluar connectors alone you find 24,000 different parts.

First desperate MPC lover to find the needle in the haystack- I know it's in there (cmon, the male plus of an MPC module is a PC board, how hard is that?) - first one to find it and post the results here wins... uh, the opportunity to get new module plugs! And a lot of gratitude from all of us.

In the meantime, we'll keep an eye out for originals and keep you in mind. It's the power of numbers- now you have a whole bunch of fanatics on the lookout, not just one.

PS- if anyone is actually good at finding things in the Mouser catalog, I have another more complicated challenge for you- no kidding.
