New to the forum and am looking for help. I recently purchased at a bargain price an Electra F Bass Model 2271 Sunburst. Looks like the the one listed on the model numbers. There is not a serial number or sticker on it, so I have no idea as to the year. The head stock had the name Electra on it but there is not a peace sign. The bolt on neck plate has made in Japan on it. I have photos but don't know how to upload them to the site.

To get to the point the neck is warped and the truss rod will loosen 2 turns to loose and will not tighten more than that. I would like to keep the neck original but may have to do a replacement. Any suggestions?

Also the control plate and bridge has rust and pitting on them. Any idea which replacements from All Parts will look and fit like original?

I had hoped someone may have some information regarding this one. My avitar is the same bass I picked up for $25. The neck is straightening slightly by humidifying it slightly and conditioning the fretboard regularly. Haven't put a new set of strings on it yet. I was hoping to put on a new bridge first. There are photos on the website somewhere if you wish to look at them. I don't know how to provide a link to them.

if it doesn't have the peace sign logo, then it will roughly be '72-'75

there were a couple of different fonts used in that time frame. I think the difference is where it was made...

would need to see the headstock to delve further...
