I'm trying to see if I might be able to find some back cover plates for an X185 I am working on.......any ideas for finding these?

Make 'em man - find a plastics supplier and explain what you want and they'll even cut 'em for ya! failing that...

No worries, mate! We've all had to start someplace and an X185 is not a bad one to start with! The Phoenix/Spectrum range are my favourites and I have the X195, a Spectrum GT (X185), a Spectrum ST (X125) and a Spectrum GT bass.

One of my Westone Clippers needed all of it's backplates, (yet another guitar off an auction site that was in VGC!!), and I took the body into the nearest town at the time - Dunedin NZ - along with a trem cover from another guitar and for the princely sum of NZ$20, about US$10!!, they cut the missing plates out of the exact kind of plastic, chamfered the edges then drilled and countersunk the holes; job done! The plastic is apparently quite piggy to work with so I let the experts have at it!

We'd love to see what you've got...
