I'm looking for one of these rings and a brass nut for an X730 resurrection project. Any/All help appreciated. It's not a big deal to me if the numbers are worn off the ring.

Thats correct - but the pickguard has hunk broken off by the switch and I figured a ring would do. Maybe I should ask if anyone has a spare pickguard they don't need. Well, thanks again.

Brass nut from Guitar Nucleus needs a little finishing and the slots cut, but fits pretty nicely....

If that doesn't work, get a piece of brass bar stock and go at it. It will cost you very little and brass is easy to work with hand tools. I may have a 5 way switch ring. I wont get a chance to look till around Wednesday though. If I have it, it's yours for the postage.

My"nut" problem has been solved. (Don't tell my Ex). I still have to figure a way to either cover up the hole in the guard or bite the bullet and have one made I guess. I've been thinking of taking a holesaw to a slim cd case back and using that or a standard LP switch ring touched up with some black enamel nail polish.

It's all holding together - so far. The switch does seem pretty solid. I'm probably over-reacting. I tend to get that way with my music gear. I'll try and snap a picture tomorrow. Right now there's a circle of metal tape around the switch kind of holding everything together. The silver color just offends me. :)

Here you can see the silver tape by the switch. When I do a string change I'll take off the guard and snap a shot of the "actual damage. BTW - this has the knobs indicating it has a factory supercharge mod. Seems like I would need another X730 to A/B it properly though.
