Hey guys,need to find a couple of the brass intonation screws for an X270 brass bridge-or an entire bridge. Name your price,cash or trade.

They should be a pretty standard metric screw. Measure them and hit the internet.

Does anyone know what the thread pitch is? I am a toolmaker / machinist by trade and can get most any type of screw you can think of. I find that brass-tipped stainless steel setscrews can work very nicely for that application.

I'd be real interested in a handful of those screws myself. The problem I usually run into though is that if I end up with a guitar that has a replaced screw or two, they invariably are much bigger - probably sae threads - and they pretty much have destroyed the bridge. I've used super glue and teflon tape to beef up metric screws and I think someone here suggested a drop of solder, but in the end I almost always end up replacing the entire bridge.

The setscrews I use at work can hold up under unimaginable stress and strain. The brass tips are very durable and non-marking, hence their value in fixturing when holding parts with polished or finish ground surfaces. Many of the jigs and fixtures we have are DECADES old, have held 10's to 100's of THOUSANDS of parts and still function perfectly.

Let me know the thread you are looking for and I will see what I can do jead. For intonation use I would assume them to be either 3 or (at the most) 4 mm. The saddles could be refit to accept imperial sizes like a #4-40 or #6-32 fairly easily as well.
